Receive Files via Portal (BLAZE Transfer)

Modified on Tue, 1 Apr at 11:06 AM

With BLAZE Quantum, you can receive files from people who don’t have a BLAZE Quantum account using the Portal feature.

Common Use Cases for Portals:

  • Embed a link on your website to collect information from the public

  • Use it as a secure contact form

  • Add the portal link to your email signature to receive large files or confidential information

Supported Plans

Available on workspaces with Standard, Pro, or Premium licenses.

1. Getting Started

Log in to BLAZE Quantum and make sure you're on BLAZE Transfer.

2. Create a Portal

From the left-hand menu, go to Files & Portals, then click Create Portal.

3. Portal Settings

Configure your portal and click Create.

  • Portal Name: Display name shown on the portal page

  • Share With: Share incoming files with other members in your workspace

  • One-Time Password: Enable email verification to restrict portal access to specific people

  • Expiration Date: Set how long the portal link is valid (can be extended later)

  • Retention Period: Set how long the uploaded data will be stored (files are deleted after this period)

  • Message: A custom message shown on the portal page

4. Share the Link

Once the portal is created, a unique link will be generated. Copy and share this link with anyone you want to receive files from.

5. Manage Your Portals

Go to the Portals tab under Files & Portals to view a list of all your portals. From here, you can copy links, manage settings, or delete portals.

6. Accessing the Portal

Anyone with the link can open the portal page in their browser.

7. Uploading Files

To send a file:

  1. Select the file(s)

  2. Enter a title, your email address, and an optional message

  3. Click Send

Once the upload is complete, close the screen.

Note: Both the sender and your team will receive a notification email when a file is submitted.

8. Accessing Received Files

From the left-hand menu, go to Files & Portals and select the Portals tab. Then, click on the portal that received the file.

You’ll see a list of all incoming packages submitted through that portal.
